Gender Identity Conference 2018

Saturday 23 June 2018

Who do we think we are? Understanding new gender identities amongst children and young people

Trans. Non-binary. Gender-fluid. Gender-queer.

The number of words being used by children and young people to describe their gender identities increases every day. But what do these words mean for the children and young people that claim them and how should we respond? This community conference is open to anyone who wants to learn about how children and young peoples’ gender identities are changing and what this means for us as professionals, volunteers, parents/carers, friends and our families.

There will be time between speakers to ask questions, talk through what we have heard in smaller groups, share our experiences and imagine different ways of working and being with trans and gender-fluid children and young people.

Tell Us What you Think

Hi Folks!

It has been just over a year since we launched our new website, we hope you are enjoying it? We have had some positive feedback and now is the time for us to redesign all of our leaflets. We call on you all to spare five minutes to look at our imagery in particular our most recent annual  reports. If you have any new ideas we would love to hear them or if there are existing images that you like and think we should keep please let us know

We will be holding focus groups over the next six weeks to gather in these views. If you wish to email or talk to us about your ideas please do, we would be delighted to hear from you.

In anticipation, many thanks

The Drop In Team
