CDI are launching a weekly group for Parents/Carers. The group will meet on Tuesday evenings for 5 weeks starting on the 12th February 2019 from 6- 8pm.
The intention behind this is to provide a safe space for parents and carers to meet to together and share experiences, support and perhaps learn from each other. The reason we think this could be a positive initiative is because as a project supporting young people in the community we also get many enquiries from Parents and carers throughout each year.
We realise that being a parent or carer of a teenager may bring several challenges as well as the delights and the opportunity to share experiences and concerns with fellow parents could be a welcome one.
The group will be hosted by Diana Chandler who will provide confidential and impartial support to the group process. Diana has excellent credentials as a therapist, supervisor and trainer and will facilitate group discussions as well as bringing in guest speakers from time to time to offer some expertise and knowledge on specific topics.
If you are interested in being involved in this new group please email Rhona Kenny at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Mad Hatter Tea Party - All welcome, apologies for the poor quality flyer - we do try! ha ha. Would love to see you there :)
CDI would like to thank everyone who came along to this annual event where we were able to celebrate another year of service.
Below is a link to a video made by Healthy London Partnership who engaged young people to talk about what they wanted from health services. CDI take this opportunity of thanking all the young people who took part and especially those from our youth participation group.
This is the second in a series of opportunities that is offered via the Jack Petchey Foundation's 15 Year Anniversary funding.
Unfortunately this course is now full but we will be delivering two more courses in the new year. Watch this space for details, dates and times.
